Trying to call his mission station an astronaut reveals that his coordinates are unknown. They indicate earth, Mexico, a white sandy shore; here he is in a pitch-dark swamp-like area. Before he dies, a Dinosaur mirrors in his helmet. In a famous TV show Dr. Rick Marshall is interviewed by Matt Lauer who obviously is convinced that Marshall is out of his mind and wasting state moneys. The interview ends with Marshall leaving the studio angrily when his theory about a parallel dimension in a parallel world is called nonsense.
A
Cambridge student, Holly, takes the initiative and gets Marshall, herself and a
guide who is doing tours into a cave into traveling to the Land of the Lost with
the help of the Tachylon amplifier Marshall has built.
Searching for the amplifier they encounter uncountable strange creatures,
phrases are found written at plain rock in futuristic places surrounded by
jungle-like vegetation, a half sand covered motel in the middle of the deserted
desert…. They encounter everything which is contradicting anything normal.
The president of the Land of the Lost warns them about the Zarn who took over power of the Land of the Lost and plans to do so for their reality, too. He projects a hologram of the Zarn who says: I am the Zarn, hear my warning or be destroyed.
While the two men enjoy a rest Holly explores the surroundings taking the found amplifier with her.
They discover that the president has lied and he himself is the one trying to rule everybody. He is fought and they return.
