A salesman (Edgar Buchanan) tries to make a living
touring the country with his wagon full of different goods and medicine.
In a little village he encounters some young man who are making fun on his expense.
Sherrill, the word leader, also makes fun of another traveler, Clyde Meeham (Michael Landon)
who seems quite defenseless against their harsh attacks.
So the salesman spreads news that Meeham is a famous boxer.
Now the group of youngsters is impressed and they change their behavior. Now the whole
village wants to see a fight. Meeham is not too fond of that, but he is talked
into fighting and wins against his opponents, with Sherril as the last fighter giving
him a hard time.
He leaves together with the old salesman in his wagon.
