Stardate 4372.5
Tellun star system. Elas and Troyius are two planets in the Federation that are
still at war with each other and the Klingons are interested in gaining power in the region.
There is a chance for peace
now because Elaan, the Dohlman of Elas, is to marry the leader of Troyius. It is the duty of the Enterprise and her crew to bring Elaan to Troyius; ... which sounds to be a simple task until Elaan
arrives on board. She does not only behave ignorant, but is unaware of any patterns of behavior or respect for any
other person, offending various people, she does not only behave undignified but savagely - and she is not planning
to marry the man she is has been committed to bring peace to the region.
A peace which is not desired by the Klingons, who have positioned a ship nearby the Enterprise and try to
intervene in the safe arrival of the Dohlman with the help of an Elasian, who is amongst the men accompanying Elaan
and seems to be in love with her.
While trying to educate her the Troyian ambassador gets stabbed to death- she did not like to be educated.
This is why Kirk takes over. What he does not know is that any man coming into contact with her tears will be
submitted under her rule. He will be doing whatever she wishes and forget his own intentions. As a reaction to
Kirk's tough education she cries and he touches her tears.

McCoy- "Did you come into contact with her tears?"
Spock - "This is not fascinating, captain" |
May I ask whether the bridge is the right place for the dohlman in the moment, captain? |
Kryton is one of the man of Elaan's staff. He works together with the Klingons and commits suicide after
successfully destroying the ship's dilithium crystals.
It becomes obvious why the Klingons are interested in the
area when Spock detects that Elaan's jewelry is consisting out of pure dilithium and Elaan tells him it is a common
stone on Elas. Scotty uses the jewelry to restore the ship's power and Kirk succeeds in convincing Elaan of the
importance of peace in the area which will be established by the marriage. She finally agrees to the marriage.
Kirk's dependency on her is broken shortly before McCoy has found an antidote to the Elasian tears:
By his love for the Enterprise.

|
Spock- "The Enterprise is the antidote to Troyian tears" McCoy- "There is no antidote to the Enterprise"
Spock - "In this case I cannot oppose your logic" |
A never used scene |
