The dictator Leo Vorka assigned a killer,
Geori Kull, to get rid of all the country's younger artists critical to the regime.
The IMF is to prevent the bloodshed and to replace Vorka by Deputy Premier Bartzin.
During an interview with Vorka one of the broadcasting crew, Barney, substitutes
a clock on the mantelpiece by a loudspeaker, places a hidden camera in the room
and exchanges Vorka's eyeglasses with a special prepared glass: They make infrared
projections visible.
Vorka's main target is Stefan Zara whom he tortures in spite of his weak heart
to find out about his colleagues.
Soon Vorkas sees a ghost appearing: The late mother of his son – telling him
that their son is Stefan, who was raised in an orphanage. The
old man (Paris)
who brought the boy into the orphanage informs Vorka about the condition the
child had when he brought him in.
Though skeptical Vorka wants to see the son he’s never met and has him
brought to him. Willy rescues Stefan, hides him with the IMF and brings
another man to Vorka.
"Stefan" denounces Vorka who then strikes him.
The weak hearted man falls and dies. Now the ghost appears again: "You have killed your
son!" In the presence of Bartzin and guards he
shouts at them blaming them that they do not see the woman and fires at
the images. Bartzin assumes office as premiers, the IMF leaves and
Stefan takes off his mask to reveal Paris.
