Dr. Frederick Kolda is the black leader of a movement promoting racial democracy in African East Victoria, which is governed by Whites only. He is sick and held in a hospital where he is interrogated and bound to die. The IMF is to free dr. Kolda. And they do.
In the action Barney, who has been working in disguise as a white assistant doctor, is shot in the leg, but can escape on his own, missing the leaving of the team.
He becomes unconsciousness in Maryana’s little shop. The Lady is deaf-mute because of a trauma she experienced when her father was executed by the government
- as Barney learns from her. While he was unconscious she has noticed his mask and removed it.
The IMF cares that dr. Kolda is flown out of the country and all stay to find Barney before others do.
Paris decoys as a wounded fugitive and leaves enough traces for the police to be able to chase after him. The IMF search the area and first do not succeed in finding Barney, but Dana notices Maryanna’s behavior as she avoids the police. They follow her, find Barney and bring him out of the country.
Now it is Paris who cannot reach the team. By now he
has benn really hurt by two people who tried to capture the wanted suspect, fleeing from police.
Jim finds him with a helicopter, closely before the police does, and the wounded Paris can get away holding onto the rope-ladder hanging down from the chopper.
