The Captain And Tennille Show was a popular television variety show that ran for two seasons on ABC. Leonard Nimoy performed in several skits.

One of the most successful duos in pop history - Daryl Dragon and Toni Tennille host the show. Besides music, famous show-guests perform in short stage plays.

Leonard Nimoy and Andy Griffith act together with another guest-star while Andy Griffith is a professional plumber and dentist. A problem arises and a masked man (Leonard Nimoy) rides in on horseback (a wooden horse) to save the situation.

In the third story the masked man, the Lone Arranger, saves a situation for Captain & Tenille by adding a "b" to the notes which did not sound right before they are going on stage to give a performance.

For the Masterjoke Theatre Leonard puts on a mask while narrating and plays along, too, when it comes to throwing himself a cake into his face.

On stage Leonard Nimoy wonders how on earth they get the idea the masked man was him. He declines laughing.
In the end he recites from his poetry and is musically accompanied by Captain & Tenille playing Elton John's Your Song.
