In Search Of... Season 3 # 24, King Tut

3,000 years ago a nine-year-old boy was crowned king of Egypt. Because the
Pyramids have been graves of kings and were plundered by robbers the kings
were buried in the Valley of Kings. In Nov. 1922 the untouched grave of King Tut had been found where everything was catalogued. His death has
contributed to one of the most important religious developments in history.
Akhenaton, his predecessor, had introduced monotheism which threatened the
Egyptian priests, who belonged to the post powerful body in the Egyptian
society. Tut’s death in young age might have been a result of his decision
to follow Akhenaton‘s believe in one god.
