In Search Of... Season 5 # 3, LEE HARVEY OSWALD

part 1/2
part 2/2

Kennedy has had the gift to unify many people in democratic nations. In October 1962 President Kennedy learns of the build up of Soviet missiles in Cuba. His order to block the Cuban harbour resulted in one of the most humiliating defeats in Russian history. Little more than a year later Kennedy is assassinated. Before Oswald can tell his full story, he is killed in front of millions of television viewers.

Contradictory statements from witnesses did not hinder the official statement to be released: Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. New evidence is found 15 years after the assassination: A tape recording by police headquarters accidentally transmitted by a police officer on a motor bike. When the shots were fired, the microphone picked up those sounds. More than 2 shots have been fired, two from the back and two from the front revealing that at least two people have been involved, the third shot was fatal.

Lee Harvey Oswald’s connections with the Soviet Union were never investigated by the Warren commission. After serving three successful years in the Marine Corps he was dismissed. Renouncing his American citizenship he spent 2 years on Russia.

The British lawyer and investigator Michael Eddowes states that an autopsy done on Lee Harvey Oswald’s body revealed that it was in fact a Soviet look alike called Alec who came to the United States for the direct purpose of killing Kennedy. The length of Oswald’s corpse was ft 5'9'' but Oswald dates in all his papers show ft 5'11''. Amongst other indications to prove Eddowes findings is a scar Oswald had had behind his ear and which is not found on the corpse.

Another question remains: Who fired the deadly shots?
