In Search Of... Season 5 # 18, THE HOLY GRAIL

 What was the Holy Grail? In Search Of has tracked this mystery.
For the first time in "In Search Of", we are going to examine the same mystery twice: First as a Christian legend and second as a very ancient pagan myth.

The events of the last supper are chronicled in the gospels. In 33 AD the rabbi, Jesus, blessed the ritual wine: "Drink! This is my blood, spilled for the redemption of sin."

Under the lead of Galahad 12 knights left Camelot to search the Holy Grail. Galahad, so the tale, took it back to the Holy Land. In Antioch, Syria, an ancient challis was found and is kept under tight security in London. It was discovered that there is silver underneath the outer golden cover, and it seems most unlikely that Jesus has used a silver cup at all. The church has never recognized the Holy Grail as a relic.
