ANCIENT FLIGHT
(ANCIENT AVIATORS)

On a desolate plain near the Peruvian Andes is evidence that maybe thousands of years ago men may have known how to fly. Huge drawings are edged in the ground; they make sense only when viewed from a great height. We are conditioned to think that flight is the province of modern man.

The Ikarus' story is told, Leonardo da Vinci's drafts are shown and explained and an ancient Indian observatory resembles a rocket launching station where reports are found telling about a machine that flew to other stars. 1911 the Wright brothers introduced a solution to the industrial age. In 1783 the first flight by balloon took place in France.

In 1963 stones were discovered showing electrical birds and something which could be a space shuttle. Somewhere in men's past the dream of flight was realized. Above the Peruvian plain ancient aviators have flown.
