1982 - SATURDAY ACTION

This program is hosted by teenagers.

Mr. Nimoy isn't irritated by being approached with: Hello Mr. Spock.

"I really kind of consider it a compliment because people believe in the character; and I always felt that an actor should try to make an audience believe that he is the person he is playing. So if people call me by the character-name that's all right with me."

His advice to people who would like to start an acting career : "Study and act. Both."

After answering the usual questions about Spock, Mr. Nimoy had a question to the two hosts:

"What is it about Star Trek that makes it popular for so many years?"

Garry: It's so original.

Eileen: It's everything about it and the content and the message that it puts forward. Although it is set in the future it is relevant to modern life
