 Could you explain the Spock – character?
"Well, Spock was the product of a mating
between a Vulcan male and an Earth female. And Vulcans are a raised that has elaborated emotion
out of society.
They function only logically. Emotion is a problem. It gets in the way,
it destroys people, it destroys societies, it destroys races, whatever... Spock, who
now has inherited both. He has inherited the human emotions and the Vulcan logic.
He is torn between these two. He is constantly acting as if he has no feelings...
that's the challenge in the role. The difference between not having any feelings and
acting as if you have no emotion is quite specific and interesting to play... it has an
effect on you... Saturdays you just get out of it and Monday morning you are back again."
