"I set up to develop a story with Isaac Asimov that might be published as a short story. Isaac Asimov has been for many years been recognized as one of the leading figures in the sciences and science fiction literature, published several hundred books.

He and I developed a story idea several years ago. The story idea had to do with first contact.

I wondered for a long time what impact that would have on our society. How would the population react? How would business react? How would religion react? What would be the impact on this planet? Particularly if we didn't know what their intentions were. All we know that they are coming. We don't know who they are or what they want, but they are coming.

The character development to me is very important because my background is in acting. And the actor goes for the character immediately.

"What is the character all about? Who is this person? How does he or she feel, stand, walk, talk...? What does the character care about? What does the character want? Where is the character going? What is the character struggling against? What does the character try to accomplish? My inclinations, they go to the character."
