ONE ON ONE

Throughout his career, Mr. Nimoy always felt he had " a great passion and calling". But he also felt he was "not as talented as I thought I might be … and not as naturally gifted as others". Now he is very honoured "...to be given that opportunity to touch people's lives in such a positive way that they (audience) want to pour back at it". He is very grateful to "Gene Roddenberry and to my fellow actors and actresses, writers and directors, who made it possible to walk in and be well paid to do this kind of work".
Spock's influence on his life is "immeasurable".

Star Trek VI is definitely his goodbye to Spock. "I think it is goodbye for all of us. It isn't just Spock. It's not a Spock-scenario. It is Star Trek, Enterprise and crew. And it is the end. It is the final chapter for the original Star Trek crew. I think it's become time to do this, to wrap this up."

The West End in Boston was a wonderful neighbourhood to grow up in. "It was a great education in human relations. And I found Boston to be a very rich fertile atmosphere in which to grow up."
Mr. Nimoy saw himself as a character-actor. He wasn't interested in writing stories or directing.

... grateful to the producers...

I am very touched by that...

I felt a calling...

Maybe not the most gifted...
