| The host asks if Spock has been
'a bit of a curse' next to 'a huge blessing'.
"There was a time, maybe twenty years ago when there was some irritation. There was some concern about whether or not it was going to consume me, consume my life and my career but that is history. This book sets it all straight. It's all been a loving relationship actually. Even the first book, called I am not Spock. And I was trying to create some interest and what I created was controversy. So I've done this book to settle the score." After being asked if the comparison was difficult Leonard answers: "I'm very comfortable with that. I'm quite happy with it. I think about this title constantly. There are several ways to look at it I am Spock or I am Spock or I am Spock. And I guess the way I think about it is if Captain Kirk walks into the room and says 'Who here is Spock?' the answer is 'I am Spock'. If he walks in and says 'Are you or are you not?' the answer is 'I am'. And if someone says 'Who are you?', the answer is 'I am Spock'. So I am just totally comfortable with it. If people yell 'Spock' on the street I am the one whose head turns and waves hello."

It is quite possible that we have seen Spock on screen for the last time. "It's possible, very possible. It's really not up to me. The role that was offered in the last film was a small cameo-appearance. I felt it not really appropriate. Given a good script I would happily go back but it's not up to me."
Another guest Jim Davidson is introduced. He is said to
be 'a walking encyclopaedia on Star Trek'.
Mr. Davidson: "I think that some of the fans get a bad time you know by some critics. But when
you look into it, when you become a fan you tend to look deeper into the program then when you
just sit back and watch Star Trek. There is a great message I think the thing about it is that
it is always well made and it's always been believable, that’s what takes the Science Fiction out.
That's why a lot of Star Trek fans say 'well I don't like particularly science fiction, but I
love Star Trek' because it is relationships that are so good."
The host claims that Leonard is 'absolutely amazed by the Princess Diana story', and probably sees a script in the story. Leonard agrees: "Incredible. I know of course what she's gonna reveal next Monday. I am the only one I think in this country who knows."
