E! Features - Star Trek VI - 1991

I thought that if we have to close out this thing,
I talk about ending and decommissioning the Enterprise,
that would be an intelligent reason, that when it all comes to an end, in effect we have done ourselves out of a job by finishing the battle with the Klingons - that's where the story came from.

Scenes from Star Trek VI are shown.

I am a very, very lucky guy. Anybody who would find himself in my position: 25 years of steady work, steady acceptance, out there by the audience, and complain about it - there's got to be something wrong with you. I'm a totally comfortably and happy guy.

Bill Shatner and me and some other people took pay-cuts, took less than we already did in Star Trek four and three in order to get the movie made.

Spock in this movie is different again, that's what I enjoy about it. Moving from one character to another has been difficult in all these movies.

More reflective, sort of 'older but wiser.'  He brings in a new point of view about himself about his relationship with his friends and others. It has been an interesting trip.

Interviews with Gene Roddenberry, William Shatner, DeForst Kelly, James Doohan, Nichelle Nichols, George Takei and Walter Koenig follow.
