The end of the cold war between the US and the Soviet Union inspired Mr. Nimoy to do a story about the beginning of a possible peace between the federation and the 'evil empire' of the Klingons.
The actors will see each other at the opening of the entertaining 'popcorn movie' and the putting of their hands in cement at a Chinese theatre. But at the same time they are "...working our way through a 'goodbye' ..."
