The Fringe team investigates strange events. They are not aware of an Observer who is present when they operate.
Olivia Dunham, a member of the Fringe Team, has got strange dreams. She dreams she is killing people. Indeed, the day after such a dream a person has been killed in exactly teh way she had dreamt of.
One of the Team, Walter Bishop, is not able to remember great parts of his past. But some memory seems to come back as he reviews a video tape. Olivia, his partner, is seen on this tape. She is still a child and voices are heard:
William Bell: Is the incident contained?
A woman's voice: Yes, Dr. Bell.
William Bell: How bad?
The woman: Bad
William Bell: Causalities?
The woman: Not sure yet. Can't locate Brenner.
William Bell: Is she okay?
Woman: She's fine.
William Bell: Hell, do we know what triggered it?
Walter: Obviously, she was upset, William. (to the girl) It's okay, it's all right now. Nobody's angry with you. You didn't do anything bad. It's all right, Olive, Everything's going to be okay.
