LN on stage. He responds to the Vulcan greeting challenging people to do it with both hands.
Someone wishes him Shalom Shabat and Leonard responds: That was yesterday!
He announces that he will be back in the afternoon: ... to spend some time with Zachary Quinto, the young me, you have heard of the mini-me. (smiling) So, what you are getting today is a Spock double header. But now I am going to introduce to you the Star Trek online video game. The fact is that my people on Vulcan are playing this game for ages and like it. But things here happen more slowly on earth. Star Trek went on the air in 1966. Nineteen sixty six. (Applause. Leonard is laughing.) many of you have not arrived yet. There were three seasons on TV, we were cancelled, and then the animation and many, many re-runs. In 1977 I sat in a packed theatre in New York and I watched as the crowd cheered in first Star Wars film, and I thought to myself: I am going to get a call from Paramount pretty soon. The call came and we made the first movie. We made another five more with the original cast and four more with The Next Generation; more captains, more crew, many Star Trek novels, (with another intonation:) many novels by Bill Shatner, (loudly:) many novels by Bill Shatner, (in normal intonation) and a new and amazing movie to open next year. Leonard promises to talk about that later together with Zachary Quinto. Now he talks about Star Trek online ... the game, which gives you fans an entry into the Star Trek universe, in a way that has never been experienced before. For the first time, instead of being spectators, thousands of players can go inside the experience and go where you have never gone before to add your own stories to the Star Trek universe. In a new and exciting way Star Trek lives.
