A review how fandom begun in the late
60s with some observations on Star Trek and fandom: The strongest emotion shown
by the character he portrayed in tar Trek materialized in a raised eyebrow. Real
Spock-fans are recognized by the fact that they hate Kirk and to play Spock was
the character-role of his life - a fact surprising only for him, not for most of
the fans.
Leonard's various talents as
director, writer and photographer are mentioned and his encounters with people
who keep on discussing Spock in spite of all the other works.
Leonard expressed his reconciliation
with that connotation in the title of the second biography (1995): "I Am Spock"
and a pair of ears has recently been auctioned for €2500.
