Having accepted that the character of Spock
has become part of him, Leonard Nimoy recalls he's not been Spock since the beginning.
By observation and creative guidance by writers and directors he slowly grew into the role.
Spock constantly had to fight to maintain his dignity living among extreme illogical people.
The controversy was deepened by the fact that his mother was Human and his father Vulcan.
Episodes featuring this were his
favorite ones because emotions are very important for an actor. His Jewish background
also was an element helping to create Spock. (e.g. Vulcan Salute [FVNP]).
In 1975 he wrote an autobiography mentioning other films he played. "Spock is a classic example of a split personality."
