Leonard Nimoy and John de Lancie met in 1996 when John was directing 'War of the Worlds' by Orson Wells in a National Public Radio 'recreation'. Both shared the love for radio and John suggested to do some more. So Simon & Schuster produced several radio productions. John emphasizes that those are dramatizations with sound effects, different actors playing the roles. "Your voice has to carry more," John explains. Costarring are familiar actors from Star Trek: W. Shatner, A. Robinson, E. Phillips, R. Dawson, A. Shimmerman and J. Simmons. Leonard Nimoy: "I did a lot of radio acting as a teenager, even before I went to Hollywood. I have always enjoyed it. There's a kind of anonymity in it that's intriguing, and there's also a kind of challenge in that you can change characters – with just your voice. You don't have to be burdened by how you look, and whether or not the makeup is covering for you and so forth. It's an interesting form of storytelling. I've always found it interesting." For Alien Voices production see the stage list in our page. Leonard Nimoy: "I was particular intrigued by the idea of going back to the classics." One paragraph deals with Spock vs. Q. And the last confirms the good quality of the work done by Alien Voices. to have it. |
